Principal responsibilities:

Achieving Excellence:

- Govern risk responsibly. Promote ethical management of risk across regions and business areas within their teams. Communicate changes in policy and governance effectively, reinforcing risk processes within their team.

- Manage and clearly articulate/interpret technology finance (direct/indirect expenditures). Accurately interpret strategic financial information: makes insightful decisions in financial planning and programme performance monitoring. Identify and highlight financial implications of risks/issues, involves stakeholders and manages budget variation as appropriate

Enabling Digitization & Innovation

- Steer & enable digitization adoption in the franchise

- Build good knowledge & understanding of the digital solutions and offerings in competition/market in general and encourage adoption

- Drive an innovation culture within the franchise and be the torch bearer for Innovation

External connect & market know-how

- Be close to market dynamics and developments on technology

- Build good know-how of the IT solutions in the market and within Group to leverage on solutions available

- Build mutually beneficial relationships with fellow CIOs in in the market to partner as a community to drive change and share best practices

Regulatory Interface & Engagement

- Play a pivotal role in regulatory engagement on Technology matters

- Achieve good working relationship with regulators

- Be seen as an active contributor to the Technology agenda of the regulator by building capability to demonstrate leadership position and influence the regulatory landscape around technology

Qualifications - External

Minimum Qualification: Engineering Graduate or MCA or equivalent qualification from a recognized University / Institution

- Experienced senior technology manager with proven experience in influencing and delivering complex global and local solutions in demanding timeframes.

- Very strong inter-personal and communication skills. Able to operate at very senior levels of the Group.

- Ability to drive actions through influence and data insights.

- Proven experience in delivering business transformation through technology solutions.

- Strong knowledge of technology architecture and data integration know-how.

- Strong understanding of business accounting and reporting requirements.

- Very strong acumen regards understanding and application of emerging technology trends.

- Proven people and project management skills in global cross cultural environment.

- Demonstrable ability to work in a collegiate fashion across organizational matrix

- Ability to demonstrate constructive pragmatism and delivery focus.

- Experience managing IT teams globally and across IT disciplines
