Head Pharmaceutical Division (Techno-Commercial Role)

Qualification : M.Sc(Chemistry)

- The person will be responsible for Business Development & Lab Management.

- Drive the business and strategies for business growth of pharmaceutical and cosmetic testing laboratory business.

- Responsible for Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability for business units under his/her control and develop new line of business in pharma testing.

- Effectively managing client project planning, set up and resources.

- Building and managing client relationships at an operational level. This will include communicating proposals, quotes, operational matters, change orders and delivery of final product.

- Liaising with Business Development so that new opportunities are dealt with efficiently.

- Effectively coordinating and managing the Lab so that the quality of the work and the service consistently meet the requirements of the organisation and the client. Experience in Laboratory management is must.

- Ensure that equipment & systems calibration / qualification schedules are adhered to and scheduled work is completed accurately and within agreed timelines.

- Manage all the accreditations, certifications as needed for license to operate. Responsible to get USFDA approval.

- Liasoning with various authorities to obtain licences as needed and ensure its full compliance is in place.

- Ensure that investigations and technical issues are completed and resolved in a timely manner through respective teams.

- Maintaining the Management Operating System and reporting performance as required.

- Taking responsibility and a hands-on approach to achieving the financial targets of the Lab. Tracking and controlling budget and spending.

- Collaborating with other functions / departments as required to ensure that the efficiency and quality of work meets with organisational and client needs.

- Assist in identifying opportunities for project continuity and / or new business opportunities.

- Hiring, motivating, developing and retaining high calibre analysts, scientists, sales personal and team leaders.

- Motivating the team to perform to a consistently high standard through staff training and development and continuous feedback on performance. Instilling a culture of continuous improvement.

- Defining, agreeing and tracking goals and milestones with senior management for the business unit. Ensuring that the goals are defined and communicated to their respective teams. Ensuring there is accountability for the achievement of the goals.

- Ensure the Lab has appropriate systems, work ethics and polices in place to ensure that the work environment is safe and guarantees a high quality of service to clients.

- Ensure the work of the team is carried out in compliance with the organizations quality system. Also ensure that quality documentation is generated and updated to reflect current best practice and that this is done in a timely way.
