Head - Taxation - NBFC

Hiring Head of Department (Taxation) for a leading NBFC in Mumbai who will be managing team of 5-10 for Direct & Indirect taxes.

Candidate profile:

- Experience of 10 - 15 years

- Experience in Direct & Indirect Tax compliance, Return requirements, Assessments

- Experience in Financial Services an added advantage

- Should have led a team

Job Role:

- Advise business on business arrangements regarding relevant tax/regulatory implications and structuring opportunities

- Working with various support teams for corporate reorganisations, business arrangement and tax planning

- Key member of the Finance team for various projects related to Merger, Loan realignments, Business restructuring

- Regular review of activities and annual compliance thereafter to ensure that appropriate and available tax benefits are availed by the company

- Ensuring timely and appropriate tax compliance - advance tax, quarterly audit for listing purposes, withholding tax, filing of annual returns, GST compliance process etc

- Doing analysis and preparing submissions for income tax assessments, TDS assessments, appeals and show-cause notices

- Doing analysis and preparing submissions for Indirect tax assessments for Service Tax, VAT & GST, appeals and show-cause notices
