Performs Tax Compliance :
- Prepares tax forms for tax compliance to fulfill federal income tax mandates by tax authorities.
- Reviews prepared tax forms to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.
- Prepares calculations for tax credits to reduce income tax return liability.
- Trains regional personnel on preparation of tax returns to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.
Performs International Tax Non-Compliance Duties :
- Researches and analyzes tax laws to write tax memoranda on income tax issues.
- Prepares statements reflecting integration activity to fulfill mandates for statement filings.
- Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
- Maintains and modifies the database to improve the integrity of information from regional tax preparers.
Supports Mergers and Acquisition Integration Activity :
- Supports implementation of detailed plan for integration of acquisitions to structure operations in the most tax-efficient manner.
- Confers with Treasury, Finance and Accounting (F&A), and Legal department peers to coordinate execution of integration plan.
- Participates in weekly conference calls to remain abreast of important new information affecting integration plans.
Provides Cross-functional Support for Tax Issues :
- Coordinates with peers in cross-functional areas (e.g., Treasury, F&A, Legal, etc.) to resolve business and tax issues.
- Assists with regional tax managers to provide support for tax issues in the respective regions.
Supervises and Develops Others :
- Determines employees' training needs to produce continuous development plans.
- Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.
- Conducts performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to encourage continuous performance improvement.
- Holds others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS :
- Extensive individual/corporate/partnership tax knowledge
- Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
- Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Team management and negotiation skills
- Problem-solving attitude
Educational Qualifications :
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
Relevant Experience :
- 10-12 Years of experience in handling direct & indirect taxation
