Head - Taxation - CA - Fertilizer Manufacturer

Job Responsibility :

- Provide strategic inputs, guidance and reports for all tax matters, including tax audit, timely and accurate payment of advance taxes, cross border transfer pricing issues

- Advising management on any changes in corporate tax laws (Income Tax, Wealth Tax, Fringe Benefit Tax, TDS etc for their compliance

- Ensure complete, accurate, and timely filing and payment of all Direct taxes (corporate income tax and withholding tax) for all India operations

- Keep local internal customers, business partners and management informed of relevant tax law changes and related risks as well as opportunities arising there from

- Liaising with government authorities and tax consultants to facilitate operations by smooth tax management

- Ensuring correct reporting of tax charges and assets/ liabilities in the company's financial statements

- Providing strategic direction to ensure effective tax planning to keep the ETR as per statutory tax rate

- Ensuring all direct and indirect compliances on monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual basis without defaults

- Ensure strong tax related internal controls and lead process improvement efforts.

- Ensuring up-gradation and continuous improvement of reporting processes and SAP system in order to ensure efficient tax compliances under direct and indirect tax laws

- Lead all aspects of tax related refunds and incentives (i.e. filings, profit recognition, cash collection, forecasting, etc.)

- Ensuring minimum litigation by timely dispute resolution and up to date completion if assessment, appeals, refunds and submissions

- Effectively lead and manage a team

Desired Candidate Profile :

- Qualified CA with 10-12 years of post qualification experience in managing taxation of a large manufacturing company.

- Taxation specialist with rich knowledge on direct tax.

- Ability to plan and strategize to reduce overall Tax liability

- Should be good in stakeholder management

- Proven Leadership ability

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Ability to manage and develop team
