Head - Tax - FMCG/FMCD/Consumer/Retail/Manufacturing/Pharma/Internet - CA

Job Responsibilities:

Tax Strategy Development:

- Formulate and implement tax strategies aligned with business objectives.

- Provide strategic advice on tax-related matters to senior management.

Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with all direct and indirect tax laws and regulations.

- Oversee the timely and accurate filing of all tax returns.

- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accurate tax reporting.

Tax Planning and Optimization:

- Develop and implement tax planning initiatives to optimize the company's tax position.

- Identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiency improvements.

Risk Management:

- Assess and mitigate tax-related risks.

- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company's ongoing compliance.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor the tax team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

- Oversee the professional development of team members.

Collaboration:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions.

- Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors, and authorities as needed.

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

- Minimum of 15-20 years of relevant experience in tax management.

- Experience in the FMCG, FMCD, Consumer, Retail, Manufacturing, Pharma, or Internet industries.
