Our client, a D2C personal care brand, is hiring for the Head of Planning and Analysis. The ideal candidate should have experience in demand and supply planning along with B2B order processing.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Demand Planning:
- Maintain a comprehensive MIS of past sales and seasonal products.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams at different channels to gather insights for rolling plans, seasonal trends, promotions, and new store expansions.
- Coordinate the overall Sales and Operations Planning (SnOP) process.
- Monitor demand fluctuations and additional requirements from the sales team to meet sales targets.
- Develop short and long-term plans at channel and location levels for capacity and space planning.
- Liaise with New Product Development (NPD) and Marketing teams to track performance and plan replenishments.
- Manage slow-moving and near-expiry stock, coordinating with sales teams for liquidation plans.
2. Supply Planning:
- Plan production based on forecasts.
- Establish inventory norms considering current sales trends and demand variations to prevent stockouts.
- Coordinate with manufacturing facilities for stock coordination.
- Plan distribution by managing transfers between hubs and spokes.
- Control out-of-stock situations at SKU-warehouse levels for both B2B and B2C channels.
- Coordinate with Key Account Managers (KAMs) and the order processing team to address fulfillment gaps.
3. B2B Order Processing:
- Monitor channel-level orders and reservations according to freshness criteria.
- Collaborate with KAMs for order execution.
- Coordinate with Supply Planners to maintain healthy fill rates.
- Liaise with accounting for order appointments.
- Engage with portals to track fill rates and collaborate with KAMs for Joint Business Planning (JBP).
- Coordinate with Area Sales Managers (ASMs) for critical stock requirements.
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure billing and stock connections.
- Collaborate with Supply and Demand Planners to enhance order execution efficiency.
- Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for order processing with new customers and channels.
4. Team Management:
- Lead a team of Managers and Executives, ensuring their training for order processing.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Minimum graduation level education required; post-graduation preferred.
- Clear understanding of Demand and Supply Planning.
- Experience in Supply Chain management within manufacturing or distribution-based companies is essential.
