Head - Supply Chain Management - Spare Parts

Key Responsibilities :

- To manage effectively the parts operation of the Service network across India

- To ensure there is no spares shortage due to poor stock planning.

- To audit and minimize overall spare stock carried in the service center

- Decide and purchase, local purchase items, in line with Service guidelines.

Financial :

- The individual is the custodian of the parts in the Service Center stores. Good control and system maintenance is required in ensuring that there are no stock discrepancies affecting stock value.

- Poor stocking will lead to damage of parts. Need to ensure proper stocking as per norms being laid out.

- Defective material in some cases will need claim back on the supplier. If not done or not done in time can result in financial loss.

- Poor planning will result in customer escalation, resulting in unnecessary set replacement.

- Ensure no shrinkage of spares.

- Local purchase, as and when done, if done without proper process adherence will lead to financial loss to company.

Operational :

- Ensure adherence of processes prescribed.

- The individual should be very familiar with the ERP.

- To plan and ensure optimum level of spares in stock at the service center spares

- Identify non-moving/obsolete spares from time to time as per guidelines and ensure that they are sent back to either the Mother ware House of Vendors as per the guideline

- To ensure there is no stock out situation for any spares.

- To audit and reconcile periodically the service engineer Kit bag.

- To bring up to the Parts Fulfillment persons notice discrepancies / issues from respective suppliers.

- Coordinate with logistics support or courier, monitor there performance levels and escalate in time for improvement actions.

- Lodge timely claims - vendor wise, product wise by generating appropriate MIS.

- Adhere to packaging, pricing and related systems.

- Coordinate parts cannibalization / refurbishment activity in central parts stores.

Criteria :

- Managed spare parts supply of either any electronics or automobile industry.

- Managed both forward & reverse logistics.

- Inventory management process.
