Purpose of Job:

Responsible for leading a large Seed Potato Production Program & Logistics Operations. The Seed Production Program involves viz.

a) Production of Early Generation Seed Potatoes in Corporate Farms,

b).Seed Multiplication through Contract Farming, and

c.) Executing Multi-Location Varietal Evaluation R&D Program. The Logistics Operations pertains to driving Operational Excellence in receiving contract production material to cold stores, PAN India Cold Store operations managing stored potatoes, transportation and dispatches to market.

Job Description:

- Provide Strategic Leadership in Planning, Executing and Delivering Seed Production Program through strong analytical & financial acumen, from Multiple Production Clusters to cater Company's aggressive business growth plans.

- Drive Operational Excellence both in Seed Production and Logistics/Cold Store Operations, sustaining Costs leadership;

- Demonstrate Strong leadership to manage Functional heads, develop pipeline leadership, motivate larger field teams and build capabilities;

- Sound technical knowledge in Seed Production Program and ensure Quality Assurance and sustain Quality Leadership and Execute Adaptative Research Trials for launching proprietary varieties;

- Drive Digitalization, Automation and build Infrastructure such as establishing modern cold stores, grading, drying machines and packing, to support business plans.

- Efficient in Stakeholder Engagement connecting with Potato Breeders across the Country, Farmer leaders, Government Authorities and Government Institutions such as Central Potato Research Institute/ICAR/CIP etc.,

- Co-ordinate and collaborate with other Functions such as Finance, HR and Commercial etc. for smooth execution.

Educational Qualification. : MBA in Agri business or M.Sc. (Agriculture)

Age - Max - 50 Years

Compensation - Max 70 Lacs

Only stable People with prior experience in large Agri Commodities Supply Chain / Seed Program / Large Cold Chain Operations for Food Program will be entertained.
