- Developing a strong SCM and Logistics Team through continuous Coaching, Mentoring and Guidance
- Leads the supply chain, purchasing and logistics teams in executing best practices in the function to increase efficiency
- Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to purchase of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand
- Accountable for negotiations for best possible cost and service guarantee and develop "win-win" strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders and logistic service providers
- Collaborates with global strategic sourcing team on supply chain & commodity strategies and metrics
- Achieving year on year material productivity & SCM & Logistics functions' set targets
- Foster Teamwork and provide expert consultation and collaborate with goals alignment across platforms and functions with an enterprise mindset.
- Supplier Capacity Review, Weekly Open Order Review, identify bottlenecks and resolve the same in advance to achieve supplier on time delivery > 95% and other performance metrics
- Develop and implement inventory strategy for managing positive cash flow and ensuring optimum production
- Drive inventory reduction initiatives and establish Vendor Managed Inventory models to achieve Inventory Turnover Ratio of 6 and above.
- Understand and develop strategy for Core - Noncore components.
- Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Supplier Consolidations and Alternate Supplier development as required.
- Thorough understanding of SCM Techniques and Tools e.g., Kanban, Min-Max, ABC Analysis etc.
- Helps developing a strong Kaizen Culture within the team for continuous Improvements and Growth
