Head - Supply Chain - Beauty/Cosmetics Industry

- We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain professional with a background in beauty retail to join our team.

- As our Supply Chain professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products are efficiently delivered to our customers, maintaining inventory levels, and developing relationships with our suppliers.

- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics in the beauty industry, with experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, and supplier management.

- You will be responsible for collaborating with our suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of quality products, negotiating contracts, and managing costs to optimize our supply chain performance.

Position Overview :

As the Head of Supply Chain for our prestigious makeup brand, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of finished goods. Your expertise in supply chain management will contribute to the success of our brand by optimizing processes, managing inventory, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers and distributors.

Key Responsibilities :

Supply Chain Strategy:

- Develop and execute the overall supply chain strategy aligned with the company's business goals and objectives.

- Design and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the speed of product delivery.

Procurement and Vendor Management:

- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and other components required for makeup production.

- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure favorable agreements while maintaining quality standards.

Inventory Management:

- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent overstocking or stockouts, ensuring optimal inventory turnover.

- Implement inventory tracking systems and lead efforts to minimize excess stock and write-offs.

Production Planning:

- Collaborate closely with production teams to create production schedules that meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.

- Monitor production progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure timely completion.

Logistics and Distribution:

- Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of products to distribution centers and retailers.

- Implement strategies to streamline distribution processes and improve order fulfillment accuracy.

Quality Assurance:

- Implement quality control measures throughout the supply chain to maintain high product standards and compliance with regulations.

- Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

Process Improvement:

- Continuously assess supply chain processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Team Leadership:

- Manage and lead a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Risk Management :

- Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.

- Implement contingency plans to ensure business continuity in the face of disruptions.

Data Analysis and Reporting :

- Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data to generate insights and inform decision-making.

- Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Proven experience (X+ years) in supply chain management, preferably within the cosmetics or beauty industry.

- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, production planning, and distribution logistics.

- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

- Effective communication and negotiation skills.

- Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining quality standards.

- Ability to adapt to changing market trends and business needs.

- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial implications within the supply chain.
