Key responsibilities
Planning
- Develop annual procurement plan and long-term strategy document for Supply Chain function
- Align the supply chain function with other business units
- Operate within the limits of authority as defined by the Delegation of Power (DoP)
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Ensure close coordination with business and other stakeholders to ensure full alignment of procurement activities with business needs
- Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams
- Facilitate ongoing collaboration between the Supply Chain Operations team, Sourcing function and Logistics team
- Leverage and share information with the direct reports and the wider team
- Monitor actual performance against established targets, and identify areas of improvement as and when required
Team Management
- Manage and monitor day-to-day activities of direct reports
- Manage, coach and train the team to the extent that the team has adequate skillset and capabilities to deliver quality output and performance
- Provide on-going career development, support and coaching for direct reports
- Provide feedback to team, and identify need based training requirements for direct reports
- Solicit ideas and foster an environment for personnel development of the team
Operations Improvement
- Work closely with supply chain staff to increase capacity and continuously improve operations to produce positive year on year growth of business
- Ensure that all inventory schedules and material distribution schedules are met. Manage variances and identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy
- Drive continuous improvement to operations by reducing turnaround times, streamlining work processes and providing quality customer service to Business Units
- Oversee ongoing improvement initiatives like process excellence, IT enablement, automation of Supply Chain Management processes
CSCO Office
- Define the strategy for SCM at the begining of the financial year and derive KRA for the function. Ensure the KRA is acheived and strategies are executed on time
- Manage the innovothan ( innovation ideas) program and ensure those ideas are curated and implemented
- Manage the quarterly award for SCM
- Work with SCM functional heads and define Employee SAT improvement plan and implenent them. Make functional Presentations to CHRO and CEO.
Procedures Compliance
- Ensure that the day to day activities comply with standards and performance measures set in the approved supply management Policy and Procedures
- Identify compliance issues promptly and propose corrective action
- Monitor actual performance against established targets, and identify areas of improvement as and when required
