Head - Strategy - Home Finance

- Our client is among India's leading and most valuable financial services companies in the private sector. Our client's business is across asset management, mutual funds, life and general insurance, commercial finance, equities and commodities broking; wealth management services, distribution of financial products; asset reconstruction, proprietary investments and other activities in financial services. They are looking for a Head of Strategy position for their Home Finance business.

- As a Head of Strategy - Home Finance, your responsibilities will entail providing access to analytics, insights on critical issues and overall business performance for our client.

- One of the critical aspects of the role is to identify cross-functional and cross-business synergies opportunities that shall drive efficiencies linked to cost, agility, and business performance. You will also be responsible for new innovative business model creations and technologies that can be a game changer in the industry

Key Role & Responsibilities :

Business Intelligence :

- Decide on the reporting requirements (structure, cascade, frequency, formats)

- Conduct data analysis - Internal and market trends including bench-marking

- Predictive analytics - future probabilities

- Report key events (financial, political, natural) and assess likely impact

- Report progress on key performance indicators

- Share regulatory changes being planned / discussed

Business Excellence :

- Seek inputs on ideas internally and externally for improvement

- Identify technology and other interventions to address the identified opportunities

- Identify key trends - global and local. Decide key themes for innovation

- Business case preparation / approvals / budget sanction

- Develop a framework - operating model, IT model etc. to support execution

- Identify and on-board a team internal and external (partners)

- Identify potential nature of partnerships (investment, acquisition, contractual)

- Support development of project plan and milestones

- Support development of project plan and milestones

- Monitor execution and review progress and report

- Review progress and report

- Manage MIS, Dash Boards, review strategies and action plan and progress made

An Ideal Candidate :

- The candidate needs to have experience in managing strategies and business excellence role in a Home Finance company.

- Will have a clear understanding of home finance business -models, regulations, partnerships

- Knowledge of Sales & Distribution - Agency and partnerships like Banca, Corporate and brokers

- Understanding of Solvency, Product profitability and Customer segmentation/ value

- Awareness of Risk, Underwriting and Reinsurance

- Business acumen

- Thorough understanding of technology

- Strong numerical ability

- Background in Operations research

- Skills and certifications around Project Management

- Strong Interpersonal Skills

- Self-Motivated and Ability to handle ambiguity

- An MBA from Tier I Institutes - IIM (A,B,C,I, K,L), JBIMS, XLRI, FMS, SP Jain or CA 1st Attempt
