Reports to: Chief Business Officer KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead formulation of the 5 year strategy for the organization with the financial plan and review it with the CBO - Drive business improvement projects (80% of the total time) across different functional groups, challenge the status quo and continuously strive for better results - Develop store format based on 15 year financials, sales and expense forecast, working with different groups to co-ordinate the launch of the specific store and compare the performance against the prototype - Spearhead the five-year plan/company strategy backed up with financial analysis - Drive P&amp;L and growth of the business - Manage the store formatting, store prototyping and evaluate performance with respect to the plan - Co-ordinate projects for business improvement across different functions - Support the CBO with different assignments ( Confidential projects) - Prepare strategy presentations for the country visit by the global leaders - Provide regular updates to the global format development team, interface with the regional team - Provide planning and financial inputs, undertake KPI analysis, determine the financial feasibility of new - The incumbent also works closely with him on projects, preparing presentations, providing regular updates on ongoing projects etc. Dimensions : - Size of the team reporting into the head of strategy - 1-2 associates who independently manage their respective projects Key skills and qualifications for this role : - MBA from top tier B-schools being mandatory with a minimum of 9 years of experience in top 3 strategies/ consulting organizations - MBA batch we are looking at 2006-2010 - Significant experience of working in the retail or FMCG sector is mandatory - Problem-solving, strategic thinking skills with an ability to work on numerous diverse problems under ambiguity with strict deadlines - Quality Focus and Integrity - Interpersonal and Leadership Skills - Incase Incumbent is working with a Consulting firm then must be currently working at a Principal / Associate Partner level Incase incumbent has earlier worked with a Consulting firm then must have left at atleast an Engagement Manager / Principal levels.
