Key Accountabilities & Outcomesg
- Work on enterprise strategy.
- Evaluation of strategy driving growth.
- Oversee the translation of strategic plans into annual budget in coordination with finance and senior leadership.
- Tracking of strategic orientation / P&L linked issue for timely closure.
- Work with the businesses to ensure a robust review process to track against the blueprint.
- Deep dive using Root cause analysis techniques to identify the underlying challenges and design interventions to mitigate.
Business analysis & reporting:
- Tracking of global & domestic stories & developments that have a potential impact on the company.
- Competitor tracking, market intelligence, environment sensing etc.
- New assets & solutions for business problems.
Tracking of corporate wide transformation programs
- Focus on transformation journey projects across various businesses.
- Ensure key transformational projects move both from time & quality dimensions.
- Ensure facilitation of decisions, in-case issues are stuck.
- Track large scale consulting assignments for strategic growth and build a sharper review mechanism.
Corporate development:
- Work & Track progress on JV / Alliances etc.
- Review & analyze capex / investments.
- Tracking of growth projects, crystalize the viability & push its implementation, Fill the gaps among various stakeholders.
Business Performance management:
- Manage special projects / Cross functional team to drive business performance improvements.
- Tracking of key issues emerging out of Audit / Vigilance.
- Coordinate the key Corporate affairs / advocacy issues.
- Evaluate & help negotiate key commercial proposals that come to CMD.
- Prognosis based timely purchase tie ups on critical RMs.
- Evaluations of Operations / Prognosis / Dash boards.
- Work with the team on business restructuring.
- Give strategic direction to corporate communications teams and develop specialist capabilities in the space
- Guide corporate communications to ensure all media relations and branding communications are coherent with the company's strategy.
- Steer internal communication to lead the company wide culture change communications.
- Work along with corporate HR to design programs and implement the same across businesses.
- Work on brand positioning & agency management.
Education Qualifications / Background
- State minimum qualification required by the Job Holder to work effectively on this position
Essential:
a. MBA from top management school
b. Bachelor of Engineering
- Past Experience: someone who has worked for long time in Consulting companies and also has worked in business wherein they have driven strategy & profit.
Relevant and Total Years of Experience:
- 25 plus years of work experience with a mix of consulting and business roles.
- Experience in creating strategy and driving large scale transformational programs.
- Experienced in strategy development, program management, transformation, financial modelling.
- Flexibility and ability to objectively view a wide variety of topics.
Technical/Functional Expertise:
- Strong analytical, problem solving and financial modelling skills.
- Comfort in both strategic thinking and being detail oriented.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
