Overall Role Purpose :
- As the Head of Strategic Transport Development, you will be responsible for defining the strategic direction of our transport offering to the market. You will need to collaborate with the Transport Business Stakeholders
- Leadership, Operations & Solution Design to develop newer offerings, develop existing offering, improve Transport Business profitability & support growth of the product for DHL Supply Chain India.
Educational Qualification :
- MBA from a Reputed College & Engineer from a Reputed College
Expected years of experience :
- +5 years' experience in Transport or Technology Transport Startups or Contract Logistics in an Business Development / Operations / Product or Service Development Role
Product Strategy & Growth -
Develop overall Product Roadmap & Strategy along with BD & Transport Leadership
Create plans to achieve 2025 Product aspirations for the India Business
Support and Drive Business Development & Customer Development colleagues to develop pipeline to meet the 2025 aspirations
Support BD & CD colleagues in large Transport Opportunities & Customer Pursuits
Collaborate with Marketing for overall Product Positioning and Communication
Product Development -
Develop new product offerings in line with the Product Roadmap & Strategy incl. but not restricted to LMD, Hyperlocal, Cold Chain etc.
Define the New offering requirement based on current white space, Regional and Product Leadership vision
Create Roadmap for new product offering
Collaborate with Solution Design, Operations, Vendor Management Teams to create the offering and design Governance structure for the same
Product Performance Management -
Create Product Performance Management Structures to improve Key metrics & Profitability for our Transport Offerings
Develop and Deploy KPI's and scorecards to drive Business Review with Customers
Identify key projects and interventions to improve performance & define deliverables
Execute these projects in collaboration with Operations, Operations Excellence, Vendor Management and other relevant functions to achieve defined deliverables
Identify Service enhancements for existing portfolio and lead execution in capacity & capability enhancements
Key capabilities -
Transport Product Development Experience in a Transport or a 3PL Organization or a Tech Driven Tranport Startup Organization with an understanding of the trends and business drivers of an Asset Heavy & Asset Light Transport Offering
Ability to work in ambiguous situation and with multiple internal stakeholders to drive the growth of the product
Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to conduct convincing presentations and influence decisions
Listens attentively, and summarizes or asks questions, when needed, to clarify information
Ability to build rapport with clients, Internal stakeholders and handle multiple initiatives at a time
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well in cross-functional teams
Exposure to analytics and data summarization
Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
