Head - Strategic Sourcing - Heavy Machinery Components Business

- Effectively lead people; inspire, mentor, and develop employees while focusing on talent development and building a resilient team.

- Ensure successful Supply Chain execution, drive compliance to policies and contractual terms.

- Ensure team actions (e.g., Bought out PO's / subcontract PO's/PO solicitations and awards) comply with corporate purchasing procedures and policies as well as Government Statutory Contract requirements.

- Continuously monitor awarded supplier performance and ensure all contract terms and conditions are met; own the management and oversight of the overall supply base.

- Develop strategy in terms of cost, delivery, localization to meet the sales value and profitability.

- Develop changes to policy, practices, and processes to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency; use judgment and discretion to oversee implementation of improvement projects.

- Oversee productivity improvement projects; drive a culture of continuous improvement.

- Review organizational structure and staffing levels to ensure effective and cost-efficient support.

- Collaborates with the different Product Unit Heads, and ensures the seamless supply of materials to meet the weekly production requirements.

- Hands on experience on Sourcing and procurement in Heavy engineering industry with a sales turnover of about Rs 1000 Crs .

- Must have working knowledge on sourcing of various commodities (castings & forgings, heavy sheet metal fabrication, mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies, Electronic and pneumatic parts procurement) EXIM procedures, dealing with DGFT and Customs, purchasing policies and procedures, and the demonstrated ability to communicate with executive leaders.

- Exposure to negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality

- Exposure in estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry regulations.

- Exposure in maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships.

- Exposure in in training personnel, leading a team of Sourcing professionals, and monitoring & improving team performance.

- Proven ability to effectively collaborate with and communicate with all levels of senior leadership as well as with customers and vendors.

- Strong project management skills and a demonstrated ability to convert business requirements into executable strategies; ability to develop and execute project plans.

- Skilled in team building, conflict resolution, and relationship management to create an effective partnering environment to includes credibility, respect, and trust.

- Strong critical thinking skills, ability to exercise independent judgment while managing complexity and ambiguity.
