Head Solar Project Execution

Responsibilities:

- Build team to handle the below mentioned activities and the role includes execution of both ground mounted and roof top projects

Design:

- Ensure optimization of plant design for generation and cost

- Drive customization of design, ensure regulatory compliance, reduced downtime, safety, ease of installation & maintenance, equipment compatibility

- Manage engineering process to ensure optimization of plant design, with a view to maximize CUF and minimize capex

- Ensure sufficient customization of plant design to account for specifics of project location, including irradiation conditions, temperature, latitude, shadows, topography etc.

Project Execution:

- Manage interface with Procurement function

- Be responsible for project execution of entire pipeline

- Manage land acquisition process

- Manage all the clearances and liasioning activities related to project execution

- Manage a site team and be responsible for construction of project

- Manage the O&M of the Plant

Brief on role:

- Ensure optimization of plant design for generation and cost

- Manage interface with Procurement and Construction functions

- Manage engineering process to ensure optimization of plant design, with a view to maximize CUF and minimize capex

- Ensure sufficient customization of plant design to account for specifics of project location, including irradiation conditions, temperature, latitude, shadows, topography etc.

- Take judgment calls on key design choices, incl. those on Technology & equipment selection AC and DC electrical systems (including inverters and transformers)

- Drive engineering team to design with a view towards ensuring specifications comply with regulatory / grid norms, ensuring greater ease of installation, equipment compatibility and maintenance

- Minimizing future equipment failures / downtime

- Minimizing chances and impact of safety breaches

- Assist team for getting all clearances and approvals

- Provides Full Spectrum for Technology Mapping and Vendors Mapping

- Review Project timelines periodically

- Select vendors/external consultants (as reqd.) for outsourcing engineering activities

- Manage internal interfaces with Procurement and Construction teams to ensure adherence to specifications

- Manage external interfaces such as with Lender's engineer for approvals, Manufacturers for understanding of latest products and technologies and External consultants/vendors

- Keep abreast with technological advances in PV and electrical design and equipment

- Build winning engineering team in coordination with HR and leadership
