Job Description: Head of Shared Services


Location: HealthCare Org, Corporate Office, Bengaluru

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Shared Services team at our corporate office in Bengaluru. The Head of Shared Services will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the delivery of critical support functions including HR, Operations, Finance, IT, Procurement, facilities, and other administrative services. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong operational background and the ability to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

1) Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Shared Services team, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

2) Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

Operational Excellence:

1) Oversee the day-to-day operations of Shared Services, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of services.

2) Implement best practices and standardized processes to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Financial Management:

1) Develop and manage the Shared Services budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.

2) Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.

Process Improvement:

1) Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to streamline operations.

2) Collaborate with other departments to understand their needs and ensure the Shared Services function is meeting those needs effectively.

Stakeholder Engagement:

1) Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.

2) Act as a liaison between Shared Services and other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Talent Management:

1) Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the Shared Services team.

2) Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to team members.

Compliance and Risk Management:

1) Ensure all Shared Services activities comply with relevant regulations and organizational policies.

2) Identify and mitigate risks associated with Shared Services operations.

Qualifications:

Education:

a) Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.

Experience:

b) Minimum of 15 years of experience in shared services or a similar role within a large organization, with at least 10 years in a leadership position.

c) Proven track record of managing and optimizing multi-functional support services.

Skills and Competencies:

a) Strong leadership and people management skills.

b) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

c) Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.

d) Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting.

e) Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

f) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
