Job Description
Role Head of Shared Services Centre
1. Key interfaces (internal / external) Internal: Group and Unit CFOs, Plant F&A Heads/ Leads, Group and Unit CEOs/ Leads, Group MD, Group Chairman, Commercial/ Procurement Head, Logistics Head, Merchandising Head/ Leads, IT Head, Warehouse Head, PPC Head, Project Head, Internal Auditors
External: Consultants, IT Vendors, Auditors
Scope of Job, Responsibilities and Accountabilities -
Strategic Role:
- Setup SSC center with leading practices and policies e.g. delivery platforms, remuneration strategy, IT strategy, positioning of SSC within the organization, development of the SSC scope, vendor etc.
- Facilitate smooth transition of processes from retained organization to SSC (future scope could also include other support functions and group companies)
- Overall accountability of process design, innovation and continuous improvement of the processes mandated with an end-to-end view to drive results on three parameters - Effectiveness, Efficiency and Control
Operational Role:
- Manage the entire SSC to provide best-in-class Finance, Export Documentation and MDM processes for organization
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting (capital and resource), planning, performance reporting, audit for functions in SSC
- Monitor and report SSC performance to key stakeholders
- Take complete ownership of operation delivery at SSC as per defined SLA and Governance
- Overall accountability of process compliance with corporate policies, regulatory guidelines and SSC internal control system
Business Partner Role:
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement as flexible business partner with clear focus on (internal) customer value
- Ensure senior stakeholder connect with business leadership and with (internal) customer organizations
Key Performance Indicators:
- Achievement of SLA targets
- Customer Satisfaction Index
- Process Efficiency Improvements
- Actual vs. Budgeted costs
Educational qualification Strong Finance and Accounting Education (Eg. MBA Finance, M. Com., CA, ICWA etc.)
SSC experience 5+ years of experience of leading a Shared Services Centre
Professional experience - 20+ years of total experience in F&A
Other competencies - Strong business understanding
- Strong financial & analytical acumen
- Ability to handle large teams
- Strong leadership and people development capabilities, equipped with general interpersonal skills
Language skills English - business fluent
