Qualification: Graduate with LLB, MSW or MBA in Personnel Management from a reputed institute. Exposure to the Pharma Industry is mandatory.

Relevant Experience : 10 to 15 years

Reporting to: Head - Plant HR and Head - Sales HR

Direct Reportees: 0 & Indirect Reportees: 0

Job Objective:

Develop and implement comprehensive industrial relations strategies to maintain a harmonious work environment. Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws, regulations and statutory requirements applicable to our company. Act as a liaison between Management and employees to address and resolve workplace issues.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Negotiate, draft and administer collective bargaining agreements, ensuring fairness and adherence to legal standards.

2) Conduct regular assessments of labour practices to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation. Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement policies that promote employee welfare and engagement.

3) Represent the company in discussions with labour unions, government agencies and other stakeholders as per guidance of CHRO.

4) Ensure and do timely compliances for Sales, Plants and Head Office for all applicable labour laws including returns, renewals of licenses, registers for own and contract employees.

5) Stay updated on changes in labour laws & regulations, providing guidance to leadership on necessary adjustments.

6) Oversee grievance resolution processes and work towards minimising disputes within the organisation.

7) Conduct training sessions to educate employees and management on labour laws and compliance requirements.

Skill Set:

1) Proven expertise in industrial relations and labour compliance, particularly in Pharma Sales and manufacturing plants.

2) In-depth knowledge of Indian labour laws, regulations and industry best practices. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

3) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic environment.

4) Prior experience of handling union related matters is a must. Should have handled long term wage settlements with unions.

5) Must have expertise in Domestic inquiries, disciplinary proceedings and should have attended conciliations/ litigations in the labour office/ court.

6) Should have handled liaisoning with relevant government authorities.

7) Must have handled Mathadi and Guard Board.

8) Should have hands-on experience of all labour compliances and should be able to conducts audits of various sites independently.
