Key Accountabilities

- Promote and improve the maturity of the data security capability and drive improved risk reduction across the group

- Security thought leader and encourage and support the assessment and use of emerging security practices

- Define, influence and support data security capabilities to enable user centric outcomes

- Influences and implements solutions to support standardised patterns and drive adoption of the solutions

- Accountable for improved ROI & optimisations of products and toolsets whilst ensuring consistent security outcomes are achieved

- Drives a global approach to delivering change and utilises cross functional teams to support and maintain solutions

Key Performance Indicators

- Provision of service levels according to Service Level Agreements.

- Operational and system hygiene maintained in adherence to enterprise standards.

- Take assigned initiatives from inception to successful change deployment across relevant assets and platforms

- Recognized as a key contributor to the innovation, development and implementation of changes

- Evidence of process simplification, optimization and automation delivered - quantifiable via cost/time saved.

- Stakeholder engagement - recognised as 'trusted advisor' to the business.

- Frame and develop enhanced capabilities and services to optimise solutions and products

- Development and support of talent through elevating technical disciplines

- Consult and improve cross functional impacts and resolve complex problems.

Key Decisions

- Maintain operational effectiveness of implemented security controls across organization

- Change management including requirements validations, design decisions and testing / quality management.

- Continuous review and adoption of relevant tools and frameworks to improve process and delivery.

Key stakeholders

Provides Services to:

- All users across the group (incl subsidiaries)

Collaborates with:

- Technology - Business Users

- Enterprise Controls

- Internal and External Audit

- Assurance Teams

- Privacy Office

Experience

- Experience in different domains of information and deep understanding of cyber security

- Experience in leading large teams

- A career that includes both operational and technical management of capabilities and risk reduction across multiple teams.

- Tertiary qualification in a Technology discipline or related field

- CISM, CISSP, IAPP certifications advantageous

- Relevant Financial Services Industry experience advantageous

Mandatory Requirements

- Strong leadership ability with focus on cross cultural teams

- Detailed orientated

- Experience in security governance

- Experience in leading large teams, including influencing and developing global teams

- Ability to deal with complex problems

- Strong reporting writing abilities

Essential capabilities

- Ability to build effective relationships and enable the successful implementation of technical strategies

- Use business and technical expertise to define and implement technical solutions to support business needs

- Provide services to support, guide and assure design of solutions in line with agreed strategies and directions

- Confer with systems users to develop areas of change in requirements, that result in greater efficiency, systems integration or cost reduction

- Support specific project goals by providing expertise and technical assurance for key system components to support costing efforts and to ensure the integrity of design.

- Develop technical evaluations of products, tools, techniques and methods to meet business needs

- Contribute to the creation of technical strategies

- Contribute to project work and support in a "business as usual" environment

- Technical knowledge to understand the nature and impact of technology change and operations on effectiveness and integrity of bank managed IT systems

- Sound understanding of risk management, controls and standard operating procedures

- Strong knowledge of policies, regulations and obligations within the context of technology and the business operations that it supports.

- Focus on quality and detail.

- Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Qualification Requirements

- Tertiary qualification in a Technology discipline or related field
