JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Head, Sales & Service, Pumps, India equivalent to GM
Business Line: Pumps, Minerals
Department: Pump Sales (Slurry pumps and other big pumps)
Market Area: India
Location: Gurugram
Report to: VP, Mineral Sales head, MEI
JOB STATEMENT:
- Responsible for the business results of the Pump business and is accountable for the success of the long-term business development by developing the business opportunities involving, Pumps, Hydrocyclones, Slurry hose etc opportunities pan India, develop value add customer relationships, all sales, service & delivery related aspects.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To build and maintain an active network of strong working relationships at multiple levels both inside and outside client organisations to build long-term advisory relationships and to keep communication lines open.
- To understand and apply commercial expertise, across the company's Pumps & other related equipment and services, to effectively plan, execute and sustain sales through developing effective sales & service organisation. Build robust sales strategy and processes to drive and support the company's growth direction.
- To establish a full understanding of customers' requirements at all levels and to ensure that the company's is regarded as a preferred vendor / service provider to all accounts. To formulate effective strategies for defined the company's clients and key accounts. To ensure speedy resolution of queries & grievances.
- To analyse and understand the customer's business, market and competition, segmenting customers, and partners, turning intelligence into insights about the market and opportunities for the organization.
- To understand the tie between revenue and expenses, to demonstrate strong cost awareness; to utilize financial data and information to make sound business decisions that promote cost effectiveness, profitability, revenue, and growth.
- To demonstrate knowledge about implications of legal conditions within own work area. To show understanding of customer / supplier contracts alignment of the company's products and service solution design and delivery standards
- To have deep knowledge of the company's products and services, supply chain and product management processes, sufficient to support and deliver excellent customer service.
- To demonstrate high level of HSE mindset and knowledge about HSE procedures and practices, applying this knowledge as a part of daily work routine
- Identifies and meets potential customer to ascertain equipment, supplies and service needs.
- Plans and implements sales and service programs to promote the company's range of pump equipment's, improve competitive position in area, and provide fast and efficient customer service.
- Provides technical services to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
- Understand commercial terms and conditions and able to convince customer to accept MO's T&Cs.
- Draws up sales or service contract for products or services.
- Guide team to assist customers with product and applications training.
- Provides sales forecasting for assigned customer base and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Review monthly sales reports showing sales volume, margin, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Support marketing activities to promote pumps and related equipment.
RELATIONSHIPS & AUTHORITY:
- Reports directly to the VP, Mineral Sales, MEI
- External and internal customers.
- Works with various departments within the office: service, project, accounts and product support team.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- B.E (Mechanical) from reputed college.
- 15 - 20 years of sales experience in Pumps, vibrating equipment or related industry or selling high capital, highly technical product
- Good planning and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinker & result oriented.
- Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must have handled a similar role & have an experience in handling a large sales team in past.
- A high level of computer skills is essential - MS Office (Excel, Word and PPT)
- Knowledge of working on analytical tools like power BI and CRM platform like salesforce.
- Experience in working with global organisations.
- Knowledge of parts/materials used within the Flow Control, Mining, Steel, and allied industries.
- Highly motivated individual with good communication and interpersonal skills.
