About Okay Industries:
Okay Industries is a reputed and leading SME manufacturer of Plastic products which are used by the Indian Railways and various large automotive companies. Using technical know-how from DuPont, USA the company has developed STPA tubes, which are a cost-effective replacement for copper tubing used in air-conditioning installations. Since copper tubing forms a significant component of cost in air-conditioning installations and is used as de-facto standard material in all air-conditioning installations, the business potential for STPA tubes is enormous.
To realize this business potential, Okay Industries wishes to build a quality organization which can successfully seed the concept of STPA tubes in the Indian air-conditioning market and drive an increasing rate of conversion from copper tubes.
This position of Sales Head is an important position at Okay Industries. They have entrusted The Growth Factory with the task of filling this position.
POSITION: Sales Head
Position Overview:
This position at Okay Industries is an important one, charged with the key responsibility of establishing the new concept of STPA tubes in the Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Market.
Through creation of an effective distribution channel and conceptualisation & execution of promotional strategies, the Sales & Marketing Manager will endeavour to make STPA tubes a preferred alternative to copper tubes. The incumbent will be required to assemble a talented and dynamic sales and marketing team to achieve the above objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Creation of an effective distribution channel along with policies, procedures and reporting systems.
- Creating Product Awareness through effective promotions/events.
- Generating interest & adoption of STPA tubes by the Air-conditioning installer customer base.
- Generating interest & adoption of STPA tubes by OEM manufacturers of ACs.
- Assembling a talented and dynamic sales team.
- Prepare Targets across channels and geographical areas.
- MIS Reporting & Business Reviews with the directors as per business requirements.
- Achieving business goals set by the directors.
Skills & Competencies:
- Building distribution channels.
- Assembling & managing sales teams.
- Achieving sales targets & business development milestones.
- Cost-effective awareness building and promotions.
Accountability and Performance Measures:
- New customer acquisition
- Increasing Adoption of STPA tubes by the target segments

- Cost-effective awareness building and promotions.
Candidate Profile:
- Age - 30-35 years.
- Education - MBA in Marketing discipline.
- Experience - 6 to 8 years of sales experience.
- Current level - Sales Manager/Regional Sales Manager/Distribution Manager
Place of Work: MIDC, Andheri East, Mumbai
Compensation: CTC Starts at Rs.8 lakhs per annum plus incentives. Higher compensation can be considered commensurate to the skills and experience of the candidate.
