Job Description: Sales and Marketing Head

Our client is a Training and Consulting firm working in the areas of Leadership Development, Organizational Transformation and for building Collaboration in the Corporate Sector in India and abroad. We largely work with Indian Multinationals,MNC’s and large SME’s.

Purpose of the Role:

The jobholder would be responsible for both the Sales and Marketing roles in the organization.He/she would be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic sales and marketing plan for the organization in line with the areas of focus and industry segment that is desirable for the organization. The jobholder would be responsible for achieving pre-determined sales and growth targets through the performance of the sales and marketing teams. This role requires independent handling of the entire function.

Job Responsibilities:

- Independent handling of the sales and marketing function to achieve the top line and build the brand position.

- Develop and execute sales strategy in line with organizational focus areas.

- Sales /Marketing Team Management and development.

- Seek new/alternate distribution channels to grow sales.

- Achieving a sustainable business pipeline for the company quarter-wise.

- Prepare Sales Forecasts and keep the Management updated on the same

- Ensure loading of Facilitators as per their contract.

- Works closely with Delivery Head to give development inputs for improving training /trainers based on the Voice of the Customer

- Review sales and marketing strategy at regular intervals and make adjustments in approach/policy and strategy in consultation with MD.

- Client Relations Management.

- New Accounts Acquisition & Management.

- Establishing and managing effective programmes to compensate, coach, appraise and train sales and marketing team members.

- Thorough review of the performance and strategies of the current sales team

- Develop specific plans to ensure growth targets are met.

- Provide monthly results/assessment of sales staff productivity in terms of business.

- Contribute to development of the marketing/sales strategy of the organization.

- Ensure effective product/brand positioning, differentiation etc.

- Take customer feedback proactively through pre-defined mechanisms and address these.

- Research, understand the external environment, its dynamics and implications on the L & D activities and plan accordingly.

- Up-gradation of sales processes for greater process efficiency and maximum resource utilization.

- Develop the short and long-term marketing and branding strategy for the organization based on “thought leadership”.

- Ensure that the long-term branding objectives of brand positioning are met.

- Continuous up gradation of self to enhance potential and keep abreast of best of domestic and global trends.

- Practice a strong code of ethics.
