Role Title: Head - Sales and Marketing   Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer  Business : Top Malayalam Channel  Location: Cochin - Kerala (International Travel required)  Department / Section: Marketing  A. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITY: A critical leadership position, this role is pivotal to shaping the TV's channels' Strategy and Revenue as it relates to Sales & Marketing. The role will have an approximate team size of 60 + members spread across Sales and Marketing functions across India.  Key Responsibilities:  Marketing & PR  - Lead the marketing strategy for Channel's in India and Abroad  - Develop a superior brand perception for the Channels through breakthrough marketing plans and using strong consumer insights & behavior patterns.  - Drive extensive PR for properties & Lead Strategic Tie-ups  - Develop, optimize and adhere to annual channel marketing budget  - Facilitate integration of marketing, content; on air promotions, sales and other departments as appropriate, to fully develop Big Ideas.  Ad Sales  - To develop Ad Sales strategy of the channels.  - Responsible for generating Ad Revenue for channel  - Manage the existing client base, increase the market share and bring on board new clients and business.  - Manage internal and external (Media agencies and clients) stake-holders through periodic reports, monetize On-air impact properties, track competition to guide team as per the company guidelines .  - Manage a team to deliver the desired results.  Customers  - Effective management of external agencies & partners  - Liaison with internal stakeholders and other functional heads in order to contribute towards better marketing of the shows and revenue.  - Provide direction to internal team and external agencies- media, creative, PR- drive synergy for a cohesive communication output  People  - Build and sustain a high-caliber team with a winning edge.  - Ensure an appropriate environment where people feel empowered to contribute and feel rewarded for the same.  - Build a performance driven learning culture, which is centered on innovation.  B. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS  - Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge  - Passion and understanding of Television Sales & Marketing.  - Should understand media selling and related selling terms.  - Should be well versed with BARC Analysis.  - Must have sold GEC, Must have handled a team selling GEC.  - Excellent understanding of customer behavior and ability to capture client insights into relevant sales & marketing strategies.  - Strong leadership skills with effective organization and people management capabilities  Minimum Entry Qualifications  - MBA from a good B School with 18+ years of relevant sales and marketing experience of which at least 12 years in national leadership role. Specialization in Marketing preferred.  Age Limit: 40 to 50 years  C. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS  - Ad Sales revenue  D.
