Head Sales-Internet/Ecommerce -Niche Software Startup-Bangalore
About :
Client is looking for a senior executive based out of our headquarters in Bangalore from top B Schools who will formulate sales and Marketing strategies and execute them. He or she will be responsible for delivering sales targets in India and internationally in a cost efficient manner. He or she will drive sales and marketing initiatives, identify opportunities and implement ideas to get customers at a rapid pace.
Sales consists of the following :
- Field sales
- Telesales
- International sales
- Key account sales
- Channel sales
The executive will be responsible for building and leading a team of sales people.
Responsibilities :
- Formulate sales strategies, forecast sales and achieve the company's sales goals.
- Be a part of the core management decision making team to monitor the market and competitor activity.
- Determine sales organizational structure, forecast headcount budget and build a strong sales team.
- Ensure sales budget and forecasts are met.
- Define sales processes and put in place tools and systems to support the sales organization.
- Determine sales incentive structures.
- Ensure productivity of sales team through sales training and other programs.
- Develop sales operations processes so that there is a smooth hand off between sales and operations.
- Develop channels and partner programs.
- Own online and offline marketing for client. Represent client at trade shows, events and customer forums.
KRAs for the role :
- Sales and Revenue growth- Drive high rate of customer acquisition and customer success.
- Reduce the cost of customer acquisition.
- New market and geography penetration.
Skills and Experience :
- Prior Experience in building and running an efficient sales and business development organization in the business to business space.
- Variety of sales experience across telesales, field sales, international, channel sales and key account sales in the B2B space a plus.
- MBA preferably from a top school.
- Solid experience managing and motivating teams spread across geographical areas.
- Sound business acumen and judgment
- Excellent energy, passion and strong execution skills. Strong analytical skills and ability to make sound business decisions based on data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great negotiation skills
- Prior relationships with hotel a plus
