Head - Sales

ROLE OBJECTIVE:

- To drive THE COMPANY's business in the State of Jharkhand, Bihar and other eastern regions; maximizing sales while ensuring a healthy margin

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Plan and execute strategy for exponential growth of THE COMPANY's business in Jharkhand, increasing the number of distributors and retail outlets for THE COMPANY's products and increase depth in large outlets.

- Develop strategies with Marketing and Trade Marketing for product promotion

- Ensuring, through the logistics and supply chain team, that the products are reaching the retail outlets in time to maximize sales

- Ensuring a robust and efficient cash collection process

- Build robust sales processes to minimize individual dependency in the business

- Leverage in the use of technology to the most optimum extent to maximize sales and removal of inefficiencies

- Driving a culture of performance in the team

KEY INTERACTIONS:

External Interactions:

- Distributors

- Retailers

- Representative consumers from various segments

Internal Interactions:

- Marketing / Brand team

- Logistics / Plant

- Finance / Commercial

- HR

Reporting Manager : Director - Sales & Distribution

Level of Education: Post Graduate Diploma / MBA or equivalent in Sales & Marketing

Experience: 20-25 years in Sales & Distribution in leading FMCG companies

- Currently handling a state or part of state with minimum turnover of Rs 200 crores & managing a team of reporting Sales personnel

- Preferably having at least one stint in Eastern India

Technical Skills:

- Understanding of Markets, Customer segments and Sales Channels

- Sales Process and Strategy

- Product knowledge
