Job Description

Our Client is looking for a senior Financial Services Sales professional to build and drive an effective and motivated sales team. This is a strategic recruitment and the incumbent will be a part of the core team that will drive the business.

The candidate would have successful experience of providing visionary leadership, strategic guidance and team building. The candidate will also be adept at effectively translating the Big Picture into action, implementing processes, managing people and possessing a deep understanding of local market dynamics that drive sales and get positive results. A bias towards action and decision making are essential. The person would thrive on leading from the front, being a boss, friend and mentor for the sales team, removing obstacles and facilitating the sales cycle. The person would also be very comfortable with meeting and interacting with the end customer - the school owner.

A person with a balanced, mature outlook, high energy, willingness to travel and ability to build loyal and effective teams would get the job. The person would have spent around 15 years managing sales at various levels and would have managed teams of significant size in the past with at least the last one year in a senior management role.

Specific Responsibilities:

1) Help architect our client's North Strategy, adapting the current approach to the North context

2) Select geographic priorities, execute branch roll out and build a world class team

3) Drive business growth to meet or exceed North productivity, sales and profit targets

4) Directly lead and mentor the North Sales Management team

5) Direct and carry out all sales activities and initiatives

6) Manage the portfolio to ensure that it remains of a high quality and deal with problem loans - job includes a high priority on keeping bounces at a minimum and ensuring collection of all overdues

7) Be a contributing member of our client's Senior Management Team to constantly improve and build on our early success.

Preferred Profile:

1) Strong leadership skills; capable of connecting the Big Picture to concrete day-to-day activities

2) Proven Sales track record

3) Strong people management and communication skills

4) High on taking initiatives and an action-oriented approach

5) Relevant experience of SME Loans/Housing Loans/Retail Sales would be preferred

6) Comfortable in interfacing with clients

7) Passionate about working in a social enterprise

8) Willingness to tackle diverse business problem solving challenges through use of data, experience and creative thinking
