Responsibilities:
- Represent the company to corporate clients, project developers, and other stakeholders in the carbon markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, including Tata, JSW, and other industry leaders, and help win contracts for carbon monetisation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, ensuring a steady pipeline of potential clients and projects.
- Stay updated on market trends, regulations, and industry developments related to carbon markets in India and Southeast Asia.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and operations, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and negotiations to secure new partnerships and contracts.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, performance metrics, and market research to identify areas for improvement and drive revenue growth.
- Stay informed about competitor activities and market conditions to develop effective sales strategies and stay ahead in the market.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a culture of professionalism, likeability, humility, and finesse.
Requirements:
- An MBA or equivalent qualification from a Tier 1 B School.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles, with at least 3-4 years of relevant experience in the carbon markets in India or Southeast Asia, and a minimum overall experience of 7-8 years.
- Strong network and established relationships within the Indian/SE Asian carbon markets and relevant industries.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve targets.
- A deep understanding of carbon markets, including regulations, policies, and market dynamics in India and Southeast Asia.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities, with a track record of successfully identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Demonstrated traits of likeability, humility, finesse, and professionalism.
