Purpose of the Role:

- Provide direct support to the Head of Private Banking (HoPB), India in designing the India Business strategy by having high level exposure to the strategy and workings of RBS’ Wealth Division, Coutts.

- Facilitate the sales process by aiding HoPB & MHs with the delivery of the sales management framework (SMF)

- Provide direct support to the Head of Private Banking (HoPB), India in implementing the corporate governance framework.

- Undertake strategic projects on an as-required basis.

Key Accountabilities:

Sales Management

- Administer the PB target setting and monitoring process.

- Liaise with Finance and Products & Services to deliver an efficient reporting & tracking framework of sales performance metrics for the business.

- Make available sales performance reports to the HoPB on a periodic basis for review and necessary action.

- Organise for periodic sales performance reviews between HoPB & MHs including prospecting & acquisition and monitor action plans that emerge as outcomes of these meetings.

- Engage with MHs to maintain client segment integrity and facilitate sub-criteria client action plans

- Facilitate intra-division and intra-group cross referrals and maintain systems for monitoring progress

- Generate ideas and implement best practises to increase sales efficiency of Private Bankers

- Perform the role of a link between the Business sales management team in the division and India.

- Create and maintain process notes around sales management and business management activities

Business Management

- Provide direct support to the Head of Private Banking (HoPB), India in designing the India Business strategy by maintaining exposure to the strategy and workings of RBS’ Wealth Division, Coutts.

- Prepare reports and presentations for the HoPB to be sent to the Coutts Int’l Management Committee (ManCo) & Coutts Int’l Asia ManCo.

- Organise for meetings as prescribed by the Corporate Governance framework namely India PB ExCo and track and monitor issues arising from this forum for closure

- Undertake strategic and tactical projects as required

- Represent the HoPB in forums inside and outside the organization as appropriate.
