Roles and responsibilities

In this role, we are looking for someone who will head customer acquisition and growth strategy for our Micro Enterprise business e.g. Milk and Newspaper delivery and Micro Sellers (WhatsApp, home and boutique sellers), pan India.

Exploring new business opportunities:

1. Identify new business avenues (sectors) by doing need assessment either via in bound sales queries, or by simply keeping your eyes and ears open to the environment around you, to identify opportunities in Micro Enterprise space, where our offering can make a difference.

2. For the identified sectors, just jump on in the field and plan, build and deliver sector specific pitches and demos to the respective business owners (in most cases) or other relevant decision makers in these businesses.

3. Onboard initial set of customers to develop confidence and create a template of customer acquisition and growth, that the organization will leverage to fully venture into the sector. Penetrating newly identified businesses:

1. Once the organization decides to fully venture into the sector, you need to grow business in that sector. You will typically use a combination of inside sales strategies, BTL marketing or simply use your ingenuity to expand our business in that sector.

2. You will be responsible for achieving desired revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

3. You need to report sales dashboards and share customer inputs on objections, product features, pricing and competition routinely with leaders and relevant departments in the organisation.

Qualifications

1. 4-6 years of hands-on B2B (SaaS) technology business development/sales & marketing experience in India, with at least 1 year of experience dealing with micro enterprises

2. Solid understanding of inside sales and BTL marketing strategies

3. MBA degree from a reputable institute is preferred but not a show stopper

4. Growth mindset, with an accelerated career growth in a startup or a fast growing setup

5. Extremely confident and articulate, with excellent oral and written communication skills
