The Head Sales & Business Development will play a lead role in this endeavour.

Role profile

1.1. Scope of the role:

The role holder will be expected to lead the business development and sales functions. The individual will lead his or her team, and will get product support from the Product Development function. The Head Operations of the company will provide strong oversight and guidance during an initial period.

Over time, depending on the individual's performance and the company's scale expansion, the individual can expect to take on roles of greater responsibility within the function.

1.2. Resources:

The role holder will initially drive the endeavour with the support of 5 to 6 members, comprising of sales associates and product experts from non-sales function. Over time, as the company's business expands, this number is expected to grow. The role holder is expected to assess the resource gaps and then hire suitable candidates in short order.

1.3. Competencies needed in the role holder:

The primary competencies needed in the role holder are as follows:

- Product selling and business development skills

- Customer connect and relationship management

- Achievement orientation and sales drive

- Team building and people leadership.
