Our client, a huge food products conglomerate, is leading the food processing business through its range of products and innovative flavours and fillings. They are the market leaders in North India. They are present across the globe and offer the best and premium products in 80 countries.
As the Sales Head - Bread Division, you will be responsible to take complete ownership for the sales volumes, profitability and growth in each segment - consumer products and institutional.
What you will do:
- Developing and implementing go-to-market strategy with regards to targets to achieve goals
- Allocating budgets and planning for expanding market and improving market share
- Achieving stability in the consumer products space through volumes and profit margins
- Building new distribution partners and channels, and expanding existing ones to increase market access
- Communicating strategy developed for sales to people in the team in the form of their individual actionable targets
- Recruiting and developing the right talent in the team to keep the talent pool abreast with the industry
- Training and developing team members capability to ensure high performance
- Setting sales incentives in close cooperation with the HR department to motivate people towards exceeding their goals
- Devising systems and processes to enable each team member to review performance and increase commitment
- Scanning the environment to identify valuable emerging markets
- Initiating and managing change
- Maintaining relationships with distributors and channel partners and enabling them to maximize volumes
- Comprehending channel dynamics and ensuring success of trade marketing events
- Analyzing sales data to accurately forecast future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace
- Foreseeing challenges and mitigating them in the marketplace to grow volumes and profitability
- Understanding competition and their advantages to remain a top player and maintaining and gaining rapid market share
What you need to know/have:
- Demonstrable experience of 10-17 years of experience in handling regional / national sales for a consumer products
organization
- Background in FMCG sales distribution setups
- Exposure in Green Field Sales Operations Expansion
- Candidates with special courses or certifications in FMCG coverage, infra selling skills and distribution is a great plus
- Strong business orientation and commitment to goals
- Demonstrated success in Sales/Business management
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of market and environment in terms of competition, substitutes, threats and opportunities
- Great people development and influencing skills
- Flexible for extensive travel - Pan India
