Head - Safety - Manufacturing

Job Description :

1. Development and Review of HSSE Objective and Targets, Management Plans and its cascading

- Develop and implement Health and Safety Plan for the Business

- Organize the Business level safety steering meetings and guide the business to meet the Group Safety Standard

- Develop Business specific Health and Safety Standards and Procedures

- Facilitate the HAZOP studies at the plants

- Provide support for development of management system meetings the requirements of ISO 45001.

- Oversee campaigns for improvement areas based on Reviews and findings from Audits, Accident/incident investigations etc.

- Monitor Paints Score card for leading and lagging HSSE Indicators

- Monitor Health and Safety Plan for all the Sites, provide guidance to site safety team to achieve the targets

- Interact with Site Heads and HODs on the performance improvement plans and monthly, quarterly and yearly status

- Monitor Health and Safety Plans for Large scale and small construction projects, by detail design reviews

- Ensure adherence to Cos procedures, standards and guidelines

- Monitor the working of various sub committees, DICs and Apex committee

- Support the behavoiur based safety programs at the site

- Support and Guide to comply with requirements of the Contractor Safety Management Program.

- Implement best health and safety practices in the Business

- Oversea the implementation of Group standards and guidelines

2. Design and monitor implementation of initiatives to build and spread awareness about safety behavoiur

- Identify potential risk and accident areas and ensuring proper highlighting of the same

- Establish sound contingency plans in case of emergency in adherence to Cos standards

- Ensure that Safety training is imparted to all the employees during induction and during any theme based events or initiatives

3. Monitor Implementation of Safe Control of Operations

- Interact with all departments for changes in procedures & procedures development, policy development, change Management, Safe Control of Operations and its effective implementation

- Monitor legal audits and review to ensure adherence to Safe Control of Operations

- Interact with external stakeholders namely contractors, suppliers, regulators and other key business partners on Health and Safety procedures and guidelines

4. People Management :

- Ensure development of Health and Safety team for requisite competencies like risk management, investigation skills, training skills etc.

- Monitor training for Health and Safety personnel, both internal and external

- Coach and develop internal trainers

5. Safety for the Sales and Marketing Team :

- Develop and Implement Risk based Health and Safety Awareness program for the Sales and Marketing Team

6. Warehouse Safety :

- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Guidelines for the warehouses

- Monitor the compliances at the warehouse
