Risk % Compliance Head (NON SECRETARIAL) | LLB + CS CANDIDATES FROM CONSULTING OR FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY ARE PREFERRED ACCOUNTABILITIES : 1. Create framework and policies with respect to setting compliance processes and policies 2. Establish and quantify the Firm's 'risk appetite' and ensure the risk approach adheres accordingly 3. Continual drive for enhanced efficiency and client service (internal and external) in all Risk and Compliance processes 4. Conduct continual research and benchmarking with the latest industry / compliance-related updates 5. Support client on-boarding team with Risk & Compliance processes 6. Implement internal audits with respect to Risk & Compliance processes 7. Providing support, education, and training to build a risk & compliance awareness culture 8. Develop a mechanism to deal with internal & External complaints regards to risk & compliance processes 9. Implement regular risk & compliance reviews COMPETENCIES : 1. At least 10 years prior experience in a similar role, preferably within another law firm or a professional services firm 2. Knowledge and experience commensurate with this role and having dealt with the regulatory environment both onshore and offshore covering all service lines offerings 3. Must be able to demonstrate a broad technical knowledge and expertise covering the conduct of business matters, corporate governance matters, and regulatory risk and regulatory change matters 4. Practical and commercial approach to problem solving 5. Ability to influence behaviours at all levels of the organization 6. Proven track record of delivering enhancements to process efficiency 7. Experience of leading and motivating a multi-jurisdictional, multi specialism team
