Job Title: Head Risk & Assurance

Reporting to : Audit Committee/ CFO

Experience: 8 years to 15 years

Location: Nigeria (lagos)

Industry: FMCG (no other industry)

CTC: Savings + local allowance

Essentials:

- Qualified accountant ACA-ICAN/CMA/CIA/CFE or similar

- 8+ years of experience in a reputable diversified business / FMCG of at least USD 200 M

- Working knowledge of IFRS

- Experienced in internal controls over operations and financial reporting biased towards a hands-on approach

- Well versed in ERP, along with a high understanding of smart / effective Audit technics using ERP and other peripheral systems in order to make the audit simpler, faster & better

- Should have experience performing, leading Operational, Financial and IT Audits besides conducting fraud investigations and work simplification reviews

- Should have working/operational experience in Finance, Accounts and/or Supply Chain

- International exposure besides Nigerian experience is highly preferred

Functional and Leadership Responsibilities:

- Responsible for reviewing internal control systems, risk exposures in specific operational areas for management assurance along with ensuring the business is at all times in compliance with policies & procedures, highlighting risks and recommending risk management and risk mitigation processes and procedures

- Ability to plan, organize, and manage audits performing continuous follow-ups and improvements across corporate office, factory, branch offices, retail shops and other locations as required

- Responsible for presenting to the Audit Committee and CFO as required succinct but meaningful reports including but not limited to findings, plans, follow ups along with practical remedies / solutions as well as other related reports

- Proactively conduct communication sessions to all levels of staff and executives in regards to risk and assurance matters ensuring all departments / functions are engaged in the risk and assurance agenda

- Ability to peruse and address control issues and weaknesses in an effective and efficient manner finding concrete and - bullet proof- evidence and points

- Proactively able to anticipate and review / assess areas of improvementon process controls, revenues and cost improvement/cost reduction

- Ability to bring and implement global best practices as applicable to industry and to improve Governance, Risk and Compliance

- Exceptional and effective communicator with excellent oral and written communication.
