Head, Rewards and Organisational Effectiveness

As Head of Rewards and Organization Effectiveness (Africa ) the role holder will be responsible for following for 17 countries in Africa where the operator has operations:

- Lead a world class Total Rewards function (including Performance Management & Recognition), in line with the strategy and philosophy of the company.

- Work closely with Expat centre of Excellence and streamline processes, policies and governance f

- Partner in design and review of organization structures to create an effective and efficient business .

Key Deliverables

1) Driving the performance and rewards agenda for the continent

a. Lead the continent specific perf and reward strategy

b. Provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of existing Rewards programs, policies, guidelines and procedures and recommend plan revisions (and new plans) in order to provide innovative and competitive programs.

c. Manage various Salary Survey and Benchmarking exercises across the African countries to ensure Africa total rewards objectives are met.

d. Develop proposals/ internal management reports on impact analysis of potential changes in rewards programs.

2) Performance Management & Recognition

a. Anchor the entire the Performance Management Process

b. Review the exiting processes and policies and create systems, processes and governance mechanisms for driving a high performance culture

c. Lead the entire Performance cycle

3) Expat Management

a. Contribute to shaping the Global Expat Strategy, policy and Governance for the organization with the expat COE.

b. Ensuring the smooth movement of Expats across geographies within Africa

4) Organization Effectiveness

a. Review and evaluate the organization structures, way of work/ interfaces, roles etc.

b. Drive local benchmarking initiatives and establish competitive intelligence on structures, headcount and productivity metrics.

Key challenges will be around

- Designing tailored Total Rewards solutions for a diverse workforce (demography, multi-geography) while balancing the cost aspect

- Optimal utilization of increment budgets for ensuring adequate performance differentiation

- Influencing to ensure Africa voice in Global and local approaches, policies for rewards and performance management. Keeping local geography sensitivities in mind while driving, reviewing policies

- Working with people from across 20 countries and maintaining the equity, uniformity amongst all.

Candidate Profile MBA from a premier institute with 8+ years of experience in human resources, a multi-geography team-leading role experience would be appreciated.

- Experience of driving and implementing reward strategies in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.

- Experience in managing the performance management process

- Experience in handling Organization Design and effectiveness initiatives

- Experience in leading benchmarking, market analysis, the design and implementation of policies and procedures.
