Head - Research & Product Development - Veterinary Exports Division

Background of the client : Our client is a big indian conglomerate and they are into food process segment, They have presence globally in more than 50 countries.

Position : New Product Development Head

Please note the candidates should be from Process Food Industry only (Candidates from Veterinary/Meat etc) will be preferred, The company is into 100% (EOU) .

The Head of New Product Development is responsible for leading the organization in research for new products, product enhancements and product redesign. Evaluates the potential and practicality of products in development and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This position requires exercising independent judgment to perform the responsibilities described herein.

Key Responsibilities :

- This role works closely with Management to understand the range of products to work on, organize and detail these into concepts, evaluate them and form a portfolio, draw a road map and help execution.

Job Responsibility :

- Mapping, product ideation and development of new products for Processed Foods Business.

- Originate new product in concert with customer needs and business strategy

- Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones

- Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis

- Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences, in order to inform management of current status of each project

- Negotiates contracts with consulting firms to perform research or other applicable studies or support

- Plans and formulates aspects of research and development proposals such as objective or purpose of project, applications that can be utilized from findings, costs of project, and equipment and human resource requirement.

KPIs :

- Charting the portfolio and building the road map

- Build a team in sync with the portfolio of products and process improvements desired

- Delivering on products as per agreed timelines and budgets

- Collaboration with various teams to keep a continuous flow, starting from ideation to product delivery,

Work Experience Require : New Product Development / Food processing Industry / ready to cook / eat etc.

Qualification : Masters in Food Technology .
