Head - Research & Development - Food Technology/Dairy Technology

Aim of the Job

Responsible for the development & delivery of the company strategy with respect to research & development which will include delivery of research projects, initiation of new products line and reformulation of existing products.

Education - Ph.d or Post graduate (M Sc./M.Tech), preferably in Food Technology/Dairy Technology

Main Accountabilities - 

- Designs and executes experiments, analyzes and interprets data to make sound technical recommendations to relevant cross functional team members

- Identifies technical gaps, proactively creates project plans to minimize manufacturing or product risks and communicates those findings across teams

- Ability to identify and develop strong working relationships with suppliers to create new seasonings, match existing ones or optimize formulation costs without compromising quality of product

- Effectively leads and executes product trials/start-ups with an ability to make technically sound decisions in a high pressure environment

- Defines critical physical, analytical and sensory targets to maintain product integrity and creates specifications to maintain those ranges with Quality counterpart

- Partners with procurement and supply chain to aid in finding local supply of necessary ingredients that conform to company standards for high quality, availability and competitive cost targets while meeting Indian regulations and product certifications.

- Responsible for leading or supporting multiple projects at once with the ability to meet/exceed project expectations and deadlines.

- Participates in post project evaluations with cross functional groups to improve future products and platforms

- Works with Marketing, Sales and Operations teams to help fulfill innovation pipeline
