Head - Research & Development - Eco Sustainable Packaging
We are looking at Head R&D with one of our leading clients into Packaging with global presence.
- Understand organization priorities and formulate strategic projects to meet organization goals.
- Communicate and implement the company's strategy internally and externally so that all associates, partners, suppliers, and contractors understand the company wide strategic plan and how it carries out the company's overall goals.
- Create and drive growth strategies involving new product launches, acquisition opportunities, service differentiation, growing the share of customer base through consumer insights etc. to ensure long term growth.
- Conceptualize and implement key initiatives for growth, cost savings, operational excellence, Kaizen initiatives and service to ensure compliance to profitability.
- Partner with institutional leadership, special committees, and consultants to design and support execution of key corporate initiatives to achieve strategic milestones & grow profitability.
- Document external environment trends through objective-oriented market research, industry research and do competitor benchmarking to create/replicate best practises for the organization & revise strategic plan accordingly.
- Prepare risk analysis document for new initiative to enable successful decision making of senior management.
- Attend all review meetings of New products and help in designing strategies for promoting the same.
- Work with team on certain special projects that shall be assigned to periodically, especially in designing of machinery and molds.
- Help the company achieve global benchmarks / norms in yields, cycle times, processes, quality etc prior to commercialisation of new products.
- Take such care of Company's assets entrusted to him as a responsible manager of normal prudence.
- Continuous Knowledge update on Packaging requirements for compliance of new product development
- Transfer the knowledge to the team and train them for future Internal process
- Ensure development and deployment of Standard Operating Procedures in the R&D function
- Contribute to cost saving efforts by identification of cost saving opportunities and ensuring follow up action on the same.
- Implement process improvement initiatives within the R&D department.
- Establish reporting & review mechanisms to track operational performance of the Forward design group and ensure course correction & corrective action, as appropriate.
People development :
- Take overall responsibility for people development initiatives and building up inhouse capabilities for the employees in the department.
- Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members.
- Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities to enable readiness for higher roles.
- Actively participate in HR initiatives to drive overall employee engagement and motivation.
- Ensure continuity of the business through succession plans and implementing the same.
