Qualifications: BS.c /MS.c/B.Tech/Master Diploma in Paint Technology, Business management is added advantage

Experience: 20 to 30 yrs.

Overall responsibility:

Responsible for overall handling of R&D function or specific business segment or product group, Development of innovative product, Performance data generation, Product designing.

Technical functions:

- Knowledge of organization's business

- Through knowledge on product, it's performance, Pricing

- Through knowledge of market, competitor's activity

- Through knowledge on market updates wrt innovation, new technology trends

- Through Knowledge raw material

- Through knowledge of SAP

- Through knowledge of ISO System

- Able to handle customer independently

- Through knowledge on legal requirement wrt quality, environment

- Exposure to various customers line of particular segment

- Knowledge and hands on experience in operation of general test equipment

- Knowledge and hands on experience on general process machineries.

- Knowledge of various product chemistries and their reaction

- Knowledge and hands on experience of basic testing methods

- Knowledge and awareness about operation methodology and system

- Able to conduct minor changes, modification independently

- Hands on experience on various application equipment and technique

- Able to guide on development independently

- Able provide suggestion to management for new business line or product or technology development

- Able to identify new sources of raw material or ways to reduce cost

- Able to guide junior

- Able to understand the defects, it's cause and can offer solution

- Able to attend to trouble shooting at shop floor

- Able to view, enter the formulation SAP, generate specific report from SAP

- Maintenance of general spray equipment, some test equipment's

- Able to attend customer line trial

- Able to manage team of people

- Able to address customer's requirement

Managerial function:

- Coordination with R&D team

- Coordinate with RM Store, Dispatch, QC, Production, Sales coordinator, marketing team

- Present organization at various forums and platforms

- Manage a specific functional task like MSDS, TDS, Report, DCR

- Reply to the queries of field staff, sales associate

- Replies to customer's query related product application

- Suggesting alternate solutions to an issue

Administrative functions

- Interdepartmental co-ordination on specific job

- Maintain data related experiment, evaluation

- Maintain data related to instrument working

- Maintain line specific records

- Generate history card for a product and customer line

- Maintain line data, customer data base wrt product offering

- Monitoring of data and record as per ISO

- Maintain record of design changes, PO

- Evaluate the system, generate data and maintain the same

- Preparation of development report

- Independent raw material evaluation
