Head - Research & Development - Cement Industry

R&D Head Position-A leading cement organization

Our client is India's one of the leading Building Material organization having ambitious targets for future growth through organic and inorganic route. They are looking to hire a leadership position in Research and Development based out of their head office in India.

Reporting into the CTO and managing 4 Functions, you will be responsible for :

- Imbibing the functional environment of cement production, sales and marketing and allied diversification like RMC & Building Materials with a spirit of innovation and continuous improvement.

- Deriving and carrying forward R&D objectives from the corporate goals.

- Ensuring synergy amongst the R&D verticals for effective collaborative research output.

- Keeping pace with the scientific and technical advances in the field of cement and cementious materials and ensuring their timely introduction to the organization in order to ensure its technological leadership

- Bringing in economic benefits in the organization's multifarious businesses through strong pursuit of R&D.

- Delivering value to the bottom line of the organization by articulating multiple research techniques

- Continuously improving usage of Alternate Fuels and Raw Materials and increase the use of fly ash dosage in Cement Manufacturing/RMC

- Continuous Product Development to maintain organization's brand leadership and Identifying different areas for research to mitigate future challenges for cement and concrete industries for a long term to maintain Brand and Cost leadership

- Managing a right organizational structure, right resources management (Man, Money and Material), synergy of all business verticals to effectively achieve the R&D objectives

- Continuous research on development of methodology and techniques to standardization, calibration and QA for improving accuracy, speed, reproducibility and cascading implementation for units of organizations centres

- Interrelation of different business segments of the group with R&D for enhancing research horizon and effectiveness.

Ideal Candidate :

- Ideally you are a Ph.D professional with 20+ years of experience with background of being a Civil/Chemical/Material Engineer with Building Materials specialization.

- You should have good interpersonal and communication skills.

- You should have commercial mindset along with good research experience in cement.

- You should have demonstrated excellent track record in your last roles and should be ready for the next challenging role in a large organization.

- You should be able to read, write and communicate in English language.
