We have been retained by a General Insurance Company with an international affiliation to identify a Head- Reinsurance to be based at Mumbai.  JOB PURPOSE  - To support for risks by working on submissions and looking into methods of risk redistribution as well as maintaining awareness of changing rating requirements and monitor financial ratings of reinsurers  - To produce reinsurance information for business planning and strategic purposes ensuring the company maintains successful relationship with local and international reinsurance companies & brokers  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  - Work closely with the underwriting and actuarial teams formulate and execute on the most appropriate reinsurance structure. This will include the purchase of both treaty and facultative reinsurance.  - Development and oversight of reinsurance processes and procedures.  - Put in place policies and procedures to cover tasks including  underwriting procedures for placement of reinsurance  claims handling   technical accounting  management reporting.  - Development and succession plan for all members of the reinsurance team.  - Provide reinsurance input to the development of new products and/or changes to existing products.  - Regular meetings with reinsurers/brokers to build their understanding of the business thus enabling execution of reinsurance on the best terms possible for company.  - To emphasize strict compliance with adherence to Risk, compliance and legal norm.  - To review business performance & profitability via a strong and periodic MIS system  - To build new business using his network of contacts across both General Insurance Companies & Reinsurance Companies  DESIRED SKILLS  - Good relationship management & service focus Skills.  - Sound problem solving and decision making skills.  - Should be proactive, focused & service oriented.  - Ability to anticipate & identify client needs.  - Strong planning and organizing skills.  - Demonstrated effective management, communication, and leadership skills.  - Ability to work under pressure and meet personal deadlines.  CANDIDATE PROFILE  - Candidates should be Chartered Accountants / MBAs with an insurance qualification and with about 10 to 15 years experience in general insurance or reinsurance company.  - Interested candidates meeting with the above requirements may please respond with a recent photograph and resume in word format
