Head - Real Estate and Facilities Management - Global Sourcing, SCM

Spend Managed - Rs. 1000 Cr. (Rs. 400 Cr. Opex and Rs. 600 Cr. Capex).

Purpose of the Job

- This is a leadership position and will be part of the Global Sourcing Leadership Team .

- The role will require working with a wide network of cross-functional stakeholders - Global Business, Nxtra, Network, HR and IT to drive the strategic business agenda for the team and function.

- E2E responsibility for sourcing, maintenance and management of all offices, data centers, MSCs, stores and facilities.

- Establish standards, policies and procedures to drive governance and risk management for all sites across India.

What will you do-

- Execute green field projects to build new switching centers/data centers including identifying the right location, buying the land, designing the civil structure and developing the building.

- Develop large data centers (Green and Brown field) that will be the backbone for future network. Develop inhouse or partner with firms to design, optimize and execute large data center projects at the most optimal life cycle costs.

- For their Own Retail stores, manage the project end-to-end. Identify the GC, furniture and IT partners who deliver exceptional quality, are on-time and efficient. Optimize the design of the store, its furnishings, fixtures and fittings to get more value and lower the spend.

- Own the War on Waste agenda for the Real estate and facilities function. Strip waste from all areas in real estate and facilities through targeted programs and projects pan-India. Optimize the RE foot print across the country.

- Drive compliance for all owned and leased real estate assets through timely renewals of contracts, logging of all requisite permits and paying our partners and government mandated fees on time. Build a more robust governance and control environment for proactive Risk Management and as such improve India & Africa compliance environment, measured by audit performance.

- Resolving all issues arising from disputes with partners expeditiously and fairly.

- Create and sustain vibrant and productive work spaces for their teams across India. Develop world-class work environments across all their buildings in India the maximize IAQ, work aids, employee engagement and support services.

- Engage within supply chain and outside supply chain with other functions and suppliers to understand their needs and resolve pain points related to REFM.

- Govern the performance of facilities management partners across the country to ensure timely delivery of high quality service at each of the locations.

- Drive REFM Transformation (for speed, cost and risk management) by introducing new technology, leveraging internal IT teams and external partners

- Own up and drive support on all systems and reporting being used for REFM

What you need to have

- PG - MBA in Supply Chain Management / Operations Management (preferred)

- UG - Civil Engineering from a renowned school

- 10+ yrs. of experience in real estate - particularly in construction or building development

- Potential to grow beyond the proposed role

Skills Required

- Deep functional expertise in Real Estate management and construction. Need an expert in structural engineering or construction of civil structures. Experience building storesis preferred.

- Demonstrated experience driving pragmatic strategy with cross-functional executive stakeholders.

- Proven pragmatist, one who thrives on tangible business results and a willingness to move quickly to the next challenge.

- Persistent personality, willing to work through complexity and roadblocks to achieve beneficial end goals.

- Hands-on experience with complex business process and supply chain process redesign. Willingness and ability to dive into the details when necessary.

- Strong Transformation and Change Management Skills. Demonstrates the ability to drive organizational change and work with multiple business units to affect positive outcomes.

- Good leadership skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Good working knowledge of ERP systems and associated workflows.
