Position - R&D Head

Job location : Pune

1. Flame Retardant (FR) exposure is Must.

2. Experience in Molding and compounding is must.

Experience: 20 to 25 years in R&D of Polymers/Flame Retardants (FR) Products in driving Innovation and R&D activities in Flame Retardants and Masterbatches/Polymers and initiating for cost reengineering for exist products.

Job Summary:

Major responsibilities of the role include Product research, Product development, Product updates, Market Research, Promoting innovation, Helping businesses stay relevant, Ensuring effective customer service. Redesigning existing products to enhance functionality and/or reduce costs.

Participate and contribute in annual business planning. Develop and implement plans to ensure that the Product development has necessary resources to meet Customer objectives. Collaborating with the Sales, Production and Quality departments on product feasibility. Managing of capacities and resources for different projects and product development.

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Responsible for all innovations & R&D activities in Flame Retardants, Master batches (moulding and compounding)

- Develop new product/New concept and validation.

- Monitoring, modifying and authorizing the formulations to be used.

- Identifying new opportunities for growth with existing products.

- Continual cost re-engineering for better competitive placement of existing products in the market.

- Drive assigned projects to completion on schedule and budget.

- Establish technology roadmaps and drive product development efforts for profitable new business based on customer and Sales department inputs.

- Provide technical expertise as appropriate to support R&D objectives.

- Provide/arrange technical support to the business development and Sales team.

- Provide training, tools, and environment for direct reports to be able to accomplish their tasks.

- Develop, execute, and monitor R&D budget.

- Supervise activities of R&D personnel, including performing annual performance reviews and providing other performance feedback as required.

- Ensure applicable Compliance with EH&S, Trade Right, Ethics and Business Conduct, and all established SOPs.
