Position Overview: - We are seeking a skilled and innovative R&D Manager to lead our Valve Development team in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of valve design, particularly in the areas of butterfly Valves, ball valves (including double/triple eccentric types). - You will be responsible for overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to testing, validation, and implementation. The R&D Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, improve product performance, and maintain the highest quality standards. Responsibilities: 1. Technical Leadership: - Lead and manage the Valve Development team, guiding them in the design and development of various valve types, including Butterfly Valves, ball valves, check valves, gate valves, and butterfly valves (double/triple eccentric).Provide technical expertise in valve design, materials selection, manufacturing processes, and performance analysis. 2. Innovation and Design: - Conceptualize and develop new valve products, focusing on features that enhance performance, reliability, and efficiency for ball valves, check valves, gate valves, and butterfly valves. Lead the creation of detailed engineering designs, including CAD models, simulations, and prototypes. 3. Project Management: - Define project scopes, goals, and deliverables for different valve types, and establish project timelines and budgets. Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement corrective actions to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. 4. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Interaction: - Collaborate closely with product managers, manufacturing teams, quality assurance, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product development and successful product launches for various valve types. Engage with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and incorporate it into product design improvements. 5. Testing and Validation: - Plan and oversee comprehensive testing and validation procedures for ball valves, check valves, gate valves, and butterfly valves, including double/triple eccentric types. Analyze test results and iteratively refine designs to ensure optimal product performance and compliance with industry regulations. 6. Bill of Material, Costing & Estimation: - Prepare accurate and comprehensive bills of material for different valve types. Collaborate with finance and manufacturing teams to estimate costs for new products and design modifications. 7. Reverse Engineering: - Utilize reverse engineering techniques to analyze competitor products and incorporate learnings into the design process for continuous improvement. 8. New Product Development/Design Modification: - Drive the development of new valve products and lead design modifications to enhance existing products' features and performance. 9. Testing Protocol and Approval Setup: - Establish robust testing protocols and procedures for different valve types to ensure adherence to industry standards and safety regulations. Oversee the approval process for new designs and modifications, working with relevant regulatory bodies. 10.
