Job Description

- Adherence to budget and cost plan execution

- Completeness and accuracy of bills

- Initiatives for improvement identified and cost savings on account of better equipment, improved work practices / techniques, training and new materials.

- Co-ordination with site teams, finance and vendors for regular updates/reviews

Client Details :

Our client is a large business house with a significant presence in India in various business interests. One such area is Realty, where they today have multiple projects in Delhi NCR.

Our client is growing consistently and are looking for a Project Head to manage their upcoming project. They are known for their integrity, quality of projects, timeliness of completion and use of technology.

Description :

1. Estimation, Budgeting and Planning

- Preparing budget for the project at the initial stage.

- Preparing Month wise cash flow and monitoring the same with original planned for the project.

- Seeking approvals for rate analysis and proposed rates for additional/ non-tender items for the running projects and

recommending the proposal of amendments.

- Estimating Cost to completion for the projects and analysing the variance if any

- Monitoring Project budget and suggest cost control measures if required.

2. Verification & Certification :

- Scrutinizing of certified Contractor Bills for the projects

- Checking RA bills & assist setting up process for accurate checking of bills & verification of efficacy of checking process.

- Ensuring compliance of statutory regulations

- Scrutinising of Reconciliation of Materials and advances for the projects

- Ensuring adherence of compliance's in every bill and process by site team

- Reviewing audit queries and reply in addition to conducting internal technical / process audits:

- Valuation of work/quantity Surveying

- Review of bill correction

- Project Costs

3. Contracting & Tendering:

- Contracts Management for the awarded contracts for the projects

- Reviewing of works periodically to verify compliance of technical/commercial conditions of contract

- Developing a vendor base for different packages of work; maintain updated data bank of rates of materials for different metros.

- Assist on contractual issues of site.

4. Coordination and Assistance :

- Co-ordination of the projects from Head-office, preparing MIS for the project and presenting to higher management
Guiding and mentoring site engineers & billing engineers for effective billing and cost control.

5. Change Management :

- Extra item rate analysis, certification and approvals for payments

- Preparing deviation and variation statement for final payments of the contractors

6. Process Implementation and Management :

- Process implementation with periodic reviews and recommendations for process improvement for business effectiveness.

Profile :

- Qualification: BE / B.Tech Civil/Electrical Engineering, Additional Diploma in QS (preferred)

- Experience: 13 -17 years of relevant experience

- Extensive experience in prestigious commercial projects with respect to Quantity Surveying, Cost Estimation.
