Establish quality standards and define the metrics required to assess performance of the quality - Ensure the systems and standards are deployed and adhered appropriately - Actively lead the reduction of Customer K per Thousand, Warranty Cost and in-house scrap and waste., - Assist in continuous improvement activities throughout the manufacturing processes ensuring that problems are prevented and that customer requirements are met with any problems resolved effectively - Work to prevent non-conformances, customer complaints, concession and rework alongside Manufacturing/ Engineering and Operations to develop corrective and preventative actions within required time-frame - Develop the Quality Management System, updating procedures and train team members where required - maintain procedures and processes to TS16949, - Ensuring company wide compliance to legal and customer specifications and standards - Ensure effective internal and external audits Ensure that corrective actions are delivered and non-compliance issues are resolved on time - Review product and process at regular intervals as per approved PPAPs during mass production and assure consistency in manufacturing at supplier manufacturing locations. - Inspire and motivate the team - Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the quality strategy - Conduct DFM / DFA Study on the new design, support to select right Tools, Fixtures and gauges, support them in various builds ( Proto to Mass production builds) - Review product and process quality status and initiate corrective actions as & when required. - Review progress of achievement of process capability of CTQ parameters consistently Job Description in manufacturing shops - Ensure the availability of all necessary IMTEs for manufacturing and ensure they are calibrated and studied for MSA. - Ensure the monthly shop Performance Score card is prepared and other MQA Quality Performance measures are complied with suitable actions incase there is gap such as SPR, DPHU, - MIS for the shop quality metrics to be compiled and shared - Develop and mentor quality engineers and associates for improved effectiveness and efficiency of systems and personnel. - Train and coach team members in quality tools and techniques (specifically focusing on application of statistics) for effective and systematic problem solving and prevention. - Ensure 100% compliance to IATF 16949 QMS System on daily management activities Key Skills Required - Must have worked in high volume PV[Passenger Vehicles] plants. Exposure to advanced manufacturing processes to produce. - Must be capable of handling complete manufacturing quality for all shops - Fundamental knowledge of Electric vehicles and associated experience is desirable. Software/Tools/System Exposure - - APQP Core tools ; IATF 16949; IPC 610 Standards - PLM, MES, SAP, Statistical and Reliability evaluation tools
