A Manufacturing firm based out of Bawal with 6000+ employees is looking for: Position - Head, Quality Assurance and Quality Management /systems Reporting into - Managing Director Team - 50 team members approx Job Location - Bawal, Haryana Experience - 15+ years Education - Min B Tech - The incumbent is responsible for maintenance and continuous improvement of the quality system and supports the organization in implementing and following up quality improvement programs, coordination of QMS certification throughout the business group. - The incumbent represents the quality management system in dealing with customers, coordinates customer audits, and conducts internal quality audits. - The management of the usage of forbidden and restricted substances is also under quality management responsibility. - The incumbent is also responsible for monitoring and assessing product quality internally (using ongoing quality tests) and externally (by examining returned goods). - He initiates and promotes measures to improve the process chain and its stability. QA embargoes defective goods from production, coordinates handling of and responses to complaints from customers, and monitors the implementation and effectiveness of corrective action. Roles/ Responsibilities: - To device, implement, Co-ordinate, review and maintain the quality management System based on corporate and divisional Policy/Guideline - To develop implement and monitor Quality Systems, Maintain and update Quality Manual/Documents plan and conduct Internal and External Audits and monitor corrective action through Periodic reviews In order to meet overall Quality Standards as per divisional Quality objectives. - To ensure execution of periodic training programmes on Quality awareness for the concerned employees. - To prepare and execute the comprehensive internal audit plans/schedules. - To proactively identify the non-conformity, suggest relevant solutions to avoid the recurrence and ensure compliance to the laid down systems. - To facilitate various external audits and assist the concerned departments to ensure completion of corrective actions on the NCRs raised during the external audits. - To prepare MIS on audit findings, pending NCRs, the status of major NCRs, and the plan for Corrective Action. - To review the existing system continuously, suggest for amendments for continuous improvement. - To identify the best practices across the organization and facilitate the implementation of such best practices /procedures/processes across the organization. - To establish and maintain a mechanism of recording Customer Feedback, collating the same and publishing periodic reports. - To coordinate for 8D report for customer complaints, reducing the response time and up-date the related statistics. - To follow-up the corrective actions and actions to prevent re occurrence as reported in 8D. - To update and ensure the performance of the quality indicators as per the budget. - To develop the quality norms for the vendors and ensure the vendor quality as per the management norms. - To extend the support to engineering and production team in the execution of new product line set up or change in process. - To coordinate for the customer complaint response after analysis and ensure that necessary corrective or preventive actions are taken. - To prepare and analyze the rejection / field complaint data and interact with shop floor team for preparing the action plan to arrest the rejection rate as per plan. - To create a Quality oriented culture in the shop floor. - To issue and update the production standards (Quality work procedures) - To provide training to shop floor team regarding quality tools and quality system related issues. - To ensure implementation of appropriate quality tools on the shop floor (SPC, FMEA, Taguchi, etc). - To understand the competencies and limitations of in-house Quality team members and identifying the areas where third party inspection is necessary. - To identify and pre-qualify the reputed and reliable third party Quality agencies. - To interact with the Contractors / Vendors for submission of their Quality Assurance Plan, review the plan and ensure all our requirements are met. - To visit the vendors' work places to identify and evaluate their credibility. - To design and define the audit processes for continual improvement of Quality - To coordinate with the global QM for implementation of corporate QM objectives.
